I sent an email many months ago (or so it seems like that long) asking to stop my subscription to a magazine

Written on April 8, 2009 – 1:10 am | by admin

they said that I would get my money back, but I haven’t received the money yet and they haven’t responded either, I have also stopped getting the magazine. What should I do?

Is this item on my credit still damaging my credit?

Written on April 7, 2009 – 3:30 am | by admin

Awhile back, I started getting a magazine but had never ordered it so I ignored it (I was only 19 or so.) I got bills in the mail and even notices from collection agencies but my stupid self didn’t think I could take a hit to my credit if I had never even ordered the service I was being charged for. Anyway, my credit report classifies this magazine subscription as Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor’s internal collection department, but it’s been well over 2 years, all the mailings have ceased and the account status says closed, like the other credit cards I’ve paid off.

However, I think my credit is still suffering because of this. What should I do?

Can you get InStyle Weddings Magazine as a subscription, or do you have to buy them at the store?

Written on April 6, 2009 – 4:36 pm | by admin

I have looked for the subscription online, but can’t find it.

Do they even offer it as a subscription, or are there so few issues each year that it really wouldn’t make sense to have it as a subscription?

Just curious. :)

How to pay a magazine subscription from the Philippines to the USA?

Written on April 4, 2009 – 2:02 pm | by admin

I’m planning on subscribing to Psychology Today magazine which is based in the USA. I live here in the Philippines and I don’t have a credit card, but I am willing and able to pay. I wrote an email to the said magazine and somebody there kindly replied that I can pay by U.S. funds. My problem is I cannot send the dollars by mail because it might get lost in the mail, which means the subscription payment I sent will not reach the office of the said magazine. Does anyone know what are the wiser and better alternatives of sending the payment so that it will actually reach the office? Thank you in advance for replying.

Any suggestions for a subscription to a triathlon magazine?

Written on April 4, 2009 – 7:51 am | by admin

My husband started doing triathlons this year and he is really getting into it — he just got fitted for his first tri-bike today and is very excited. He occasionally picks up different magazines and I was thinking about getting him a subscription to one for Christmas. I don’t think he will ever be one of the front runners in a race but he is enjoying the sport. Any good suggestions?

why do magazine subscriptions take months to begin?

Written on April 3, 2009 – 10:38 pm | by admin

why can’t they just put a label on the magazine and send it ASAP? I’ve been waiting 3 months for Consumer Reports!

Magazine recommendations for a smart 8 year old?

Written on April 3, 2009 – 6:27 pm | by admin

My son is about to be 8, can read at a 5th grade level, and asks so many questions, it makes my head spin! He is into science and dinosaurs and just about any info he can get. He would rather read a science expirement book over a story most times. I want to get him a magazine subscription for his birthday. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe the National Geographic for kids or something like that. Someone mentioned Zune or something like that? ANY help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! Misty
