Magazine Subscriptions Online

I recieved a call from this company today. The company offered me subscriptions of selected magazines for a small fee. I have never heard of this company, therefore I’m trying to check out how trustworthy it is. The manager that I spoke with said the company is listed on the Better Business Bureau, however I cannot find a relevant report for them. If anyone has any information please let me know. I buy magazines a lot, so this would be a good deal. However, I want to be sure that it isn’t a scam.

My husband recently told me that he wants to sign my son (who is 12) up for a Penthouse Magazine subscription so he can have something to look at during his alone time. I told him this was disgusting, and no way in hell could he do it. He said he does not want him to go online hunting for porn, and would rather have him get it through a magazine. Should I just stay out of this? Thanks!

Hi all, can anyone recommend a legit website for discounted magazine subscriptions? I have read some horror stories about scams involving locking people into several years worth of subscriptions that they never signed up for, etc. I know to read the fine print and all, but if anyone has a legit company they’ve dealt with, I’d really appreciate the info. M Magazine is a scam! It also looks like it was done by a 4th grader. I only ordered a free copy from the wesite, and suddenly, I am ****** into a bad, cheap subscription! How the heck do I UNSUBCRIBE?? They are sending me bills now!! How do I UNsubscribe?? Anyone else with my problem?

The way I figure it, if the coverof the magazine looks like a collage of celebrities, it isn’t worth much, or my time!

All other mail (letters, packages) seems to find it’s destination with few problems. Every magazine subscription I’ve had has had at least 1 issue get lost in the mail. I once had a subscription to Adbusters (it was a gift, I don’t even like that magazine). I got 1 issue, and then stopped getting them altogether (the Adbusters people are no fun to deal with). Now I have a subscription to Seed and the last issue still hasn’t arrived. It’s just so bizarre to me. Are mail handlers stealing magazines or something? What’s the deal?

Likewise, i bought a Soduko magazine this spring that was the June issue. On the cover it said display until May 25. How can it be the June issue if the store is to pull it off the shelf on May 25th? I’m sure that in only a month or so I will be able to buy a 2008 model year vehicle.

how do i use a money order to buy a magazine subscription. For ex. I want to buy a subscription for $8.00. INstead of using cash, I use a money order. How do money orders work? are they equivalent to cash? If i buy one at the post office, does the post office pay the company or something?
